At its core, Dhaaga empowers women from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, including urban homemakers, underprivileged women, and tribal women, allowing them to work from the comfort of their homes. Many of these women had never earned their own money before joining Dhaaga, and the brand has given them the opportunity to carve out their own independent paths. The founder, Usha Borda, exemplifies this spirit of empowerment, having transformed from a homemaker into an entrepreneur. Dhaaga’s mission is to uplift and empower at least 50,000 women, creating meaningful change in their lives through sustainable craftsmanship.

When we had begun working with Dhaaga Life in June 2024, they had already built a strong following of 60,000 Instagram followers. Our goal had been to extend their reach beyond their immediate community and position Dhaaga as a lifestyle brand that resonated on a deeper level with women everywhere. Rather than focusing solely on handbags and accessories, we had highlighted the inspiring stories of the women behind the brand, turning their personal journeys into the core of Dhaaga’s identity. Our storytelling-based collaborations had allowed us to create content that spoke directly to the values of empowerment and independence, while maintaining the brand’s authenticity and charm.

After we had set up these processes and built a strong digital presence, Bansari and Ishita had felt confident in taking things in-house, continuing to grow the brand with the solid foundation we had created together.

Collaborating with Bansari and Ishita, the passionate founders of Dhaaga Life, had been an immensely fulfilling partnership.
